Null hypothesis
The assumption is that whatever is proposed as a cause has no effect on the variable being measured.
Confidence Interval
Expression of how closely the sample estimate matches the true value in the whole population.
Mean
The average value in a data set
Median
Midde value separating the greater and lesser halves of a data set
Mode
Most frequent value in a data set
Variance
Descriptor of how far numbers in a data set lie from the mean
Standard Deviation
The square root of the variance of a data set
