A fan, mechanically driven by the air cycle machine, is installed in the ram air duct to increase the airflow through the duct for cooling of the heat exchangers.

If both air conditioning systems fail, it can be opened causing ram air to ventilate both the cockpit and the cabin.
What is the function and location of the low pressure Environmental Control System (ECS) air-ground connector?
It is located on the right side of the aft fuselage and allows preconditioned air to be introduced directly into the mixing manifold for distribution to the cockpit and cabin.

They are located in each exhaust duct and help draw cabin air through the dado plates into the mixing manifold where it is filtered and blended with conditioned air.

It will reschedule its opening cycle from the normal 60 seconds to 2 seconds
