Disease of the brain affecting memory, judgement, ability to think and eventually, all physical functions.

Is a slow, progressive disease of the brain that affects physical function but, generally, not intelligence. Symptoms inclued tremors, stiff muscles, shuffling while walking.

Progressive disease of the nervous sytem that destroys the covering around the nerves. Often affects young adults. Symptoms include weakness, fatigue, absence of feeling in a part of the body.

Injuries to the soft issue of the brain as a result of falls or blows to the head which result in concussion, cerebral contusion and closed skull fractures

Disability which is attrubutable to: Mental Retardation, Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy or Autism. The disability originates before the person is 18yr and has continued or is expected to continue indefinitely

Is a decreased blood flow to the brain resulting in brain injury. Symptoms include headache, dizziness, weakness or paralysis of an extremity or one side of the body, inablitilty to talk, incontinence.

Is abnormally high blood pressure due to narrowing of blood vessels, which causes the heart to work harder to pump blood. Symptoms include dizziness, headache, blurred vision.

Is the narrowing of the coronary arteries casusing reduced blood supply to the heart muscle results in a myocardial infarction (heart attack). Symptoms include nausea, crushin chest pain, perspiration,cool skin, paleness and shortness of breath.
