  1. TCM Functions of Liver

    • Originates @ lateral aspect
    • of dorsum of big toe @ Dadun LV1, & runs along the foot to Zhongfeng LV4, 1cun anterior to
    • medial malleolus.
  2. Pathway of the LR Meridian

    Ascends long the medial aspect of lower leg, intersecting SP Channel @ Sanyinjiao SP6, then continues to ascend anterior to SP Channel to an area 8cun above the medial malleolus, where it crosses & continues posterior to SP Channel up to
    knee & the medial aspect of thigh.
    • Pathway of the LR Meridian
    • Continues to pubic region via Chongmen SP12 & Fushe SP13 where it encircles the genitals, then ascends to enter the lower ABD where it intersects the Conception Vss @ Qugu REN2, Zhongji REN3, & Guanyuan REN4.
  3. Pathway of the LR Meridian

    Continues upwards to curve round the ST before entering the LR & connecting with GB.
    • Pathway of the LR Meridian
    • Crosses diaphragm & Spreads in the costal and hypochondriac region. Ascends along he neck and posterior aspect of the throat to nasopharynx to link with the tissues surrounding the eye (the Eye System).

    • it intersects with
    • Governing Vss @ Baihui DU20

    Descends from the Eye System through the cheek and encircles
    the inner surface of the lips.
