  2. Pathway of the LR Meridian

    Ascends long the medial aspect of lower leg, intersecting SP Channel @ Sanyinjiao SP6, then continues to ascend anterior to SP Channel to an area 8cun above the medial malleolus, where it crosses & continues posterior to SP Channel up to
    knee & the medial aspect of thigh.
    • Pathway of the LR Meridian
    • Continues to pubic region via Chongmen SP12 & Fushe SP13 where it encircles the genitals, then ascends to enter the lower ABD where it intersects the Conception Vss @ Qugu REN2, Zhongji REN3, & Guanyuan REN4.

    Continues upwards to curve round the ST before entering the LR & connecting with GB.

    • Crosses diaphragm & Spreads in the costal and hypochondriac region. Ascends along he neck and posterior aspect of the throat to nasopharynx to link with the tissues surrounding the eye (the Eye System).

    • Spreads LR Qi, Clears Head & Eyes & Regulates the Lower Jiao.
    • LV3 & LV4 are known as “The Four Gates;” which are classically good for Cold & Heat w/ Painful Obstruction.
