    • Blocks calcium influx required for microfilament contraction and release of mast cell granules.
    • inhibits mast cell degranulation
    • inhibit release of histamines, leukotrienes, and slow-reacting substances of anaphylaxis
  3. Effects
    • Anti-inflammatory
    • Attenuates or blocks late phase response in asthma
  4. Indications
    Mild asthma with allergic triggers
  5. SEs
    • Minimal due to it being excreted unchanged
    • Cough
    • Nasal congestion
    • Wheezing
    • Sneezing
    • Nasal itching
    • Epistaxis
    • Nose burning
  6. Contra
    • Allergy to drug
    • Acute asthma exacerbations
    • No drug interactions
