  1. What is Maturational Meta Theory?
    Maturational meta theory uses a tree as a metaphor. The idea is that people develop like plants in that they are a product of their genetic makeup.
  2. What is the Organismic meta theory?
    Organismic meta theory uses a butterfly as a metaphor. You develop in different structured stages that cannot reverse.
  3. What is the Mechanistic meta theory?
    Mechanistic meta theory uses a car as a metaphor. All causes of development comes from the outside environmental forces and it reacts to the environment that it’s in. Like a machine, you are made up of pieces that control you.
  4. What is Contextual meta theory?
    Contextual meta theory uses a tennis match as it’s metaphor. It’s the idea that the individual and the environment both actively play a part in the development process.
