  3. Define Anatomy and Physiology
    Anatomy is the study of the structure of body parts and their relationships to one another.

    Physiology is the study of the functions of the body, how the body parts work and carry out their life-sustaining activities.
  4. Macroscopic Anatomy(Gross)
    This is the study of large body structures visible to te naked eye. Examples are the Heart, Lungs, and kidneys.
  5. Regional Anatomy
    All the structures in a particular region of the body such as the abdomen or leg, are examined at the same time.
  6. Systemic Anatomy
    Body Structure is studied system by system.
  7. Microscopic Anatomy
    Microscopic Anatomy- it is the study of the structures that are too small to be seen with the naked eye.

    • -Histology-Looks at the tissues of the body.
  8. Developmental Anatomy
    Developmental Anatomy-looks at the structural changes that occur in the body throughout the life span.

    -Embryology-concerns with developmental changes that occur before birth.
  9. Renal Physiology
    Concerns of the kidney's function and urine production.
  10. Neurophysiology
    It is the workings of the nervous systems.
  11. Cardiovascular Physiology
    It looks at the functions of the hearts and blood vessels.
