    Anti-inflammatory agent and an inhibitor of platelet function. Useful agent in treatment of various thromboembolic diseases (acute MI)
  3. Mechanism of Action
    Blocks the formation of thromboxane A2, which causes platelets to aggregate and the arteries to constrict.
  4. Onset of Action
    • Onset: 5-30min
    • Peak: 15-120min
    • Duration: 1-4hrs
    • Half-life: 15-20min
  5. Indications
    New chest pain suggestive of acute coronary syndrome (ACS)
  6. Contraindications
    • Known Hypersensitivity
    • Acute Ulcer Disease
    • Asthma
    • Active or History of GI Bleed
  7. Precautions
    • GI upset and bleeding
    • NSAID allergy
    • Higher doses can interfere with possible benefits

    • Heartburn
    • Vomiting
    • Nausea

    • GI Bleed
