  1. All Have Sinned…
    The Bible says in Romans 3:23;
    “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”
    That means that everyone is a sinner—there are no exceptions. Have you have ever told a lie (even a “white” one)? Be honest. Have you ever stolen anything? Jesus said that whoever looks on a woman to lust after her is guilt of adultery. If you answered yes to these three questions you are a lying thieving adulterer at heart and those are only three of the Ten Commandments. The Bible says we are all sinners and fall short of God’s perfect standard. Man breaks the ultimate commandment, “thou shalt have no other gods before Me”, when he refuses to love God above all else.
  2. The Wages of Sin…
    Romans 6:23 says;
    “the wages of sin is death”
    Death means separation forever from God in a place called hell (see Revelation 20:11-15). Most people believe that on Judgment day God will just overlook their sins because of His goodness. Try that in a court of law. Let’s say you have robbed and murdered someone and the judge says to you “do you have anything to say before I pass sentence.” And you tell him “Judge I know that you are a good man and because of your goodness you will just overlook my crimes.” He will say, “you are right about one thing, I am a good man and because of this I cannot overlook your crimes, they must be punished.” Thus, the very thing people are counting on in the day of judgment to save them, God’s goodness, is the very thing that condemns them.
  3. The Gift of God…
    The last part of Romans 6:23 says;
    “the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
    God loved us sinners so much that He gave His Son to die for our sins (Romans 5:8). Jesus Christ died for our sins and rose from the dead in victory over death (1 Corinthians 15:3-4, 54) so we could spend eternity with Him.
  4. Repentance and Faith…
    Mark 1:15 says;
    “repent ye, and believe the gospel.”
    Repentance is true (godly) sorrow for your sin against God. If we will repent of our sin, and turn to Him in faith believing He died on the cross for our sin and rose the from the grave accepting him as the Lord and Savior of our life then when we stand before God he will dismiss the case against us for lack of evidence (see Romans 10:9-10).
  5. Whosoever Will May Come…
    Romans 10:13 says;
    “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
    Call upon the Lord now as you pray this prayer.

    O, God I know I have sinned against you by breaking your laws. I am truly sorry for my sin against you. I turn from all my sins (name them). I believe Jesus died on the cross for my sin and rose again from the grave. God, please, forgive me of my sin come in to my heart and save me. I will follow Jesus as my Lord and obey Him in all that I do. In the name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
