  1. When start mammogram? How often? When stop?
    • Am. Cancer Society: Start: 40 yrs old q 1-2 yrs until want to stop
    • USPTF: Start 50 until 75, then decide if want to stop
  2. When start Pap? How often? When stop?
    • Start: 21 yrs
    • In 20s, q 2 yrs,
    • In 30s q 3 yrs (if 3 consec. normal Paps)
    • At 65 (w 3 consec. paps, and no abnormals in 10 yrs) =can stop. (cont. if new sex partner/resume sex)
    • If total hysterectomy: no need. If have cervix: continue
  3. When DEXA?
    • women >65 years old
    • Others >60 if high risk (FHx of fx, PMH of fx)
    • On steroids >2 yrs + high risk
    • No universal recommendations.
  4. When start colonscopy? How often? When stop? What about sigmoidoscopy?
    • Most: 50 years old q 5-10 yrs
    • High risk (ex. FHx, +blood in stools: 40 yrs old
    • Stop: 75 yrs old or < 10 yrs life expectancy
    • If sig: q 3-5 yrs.

    Age 40 q 3-5 yrs w/o risk factoes, yearly after 60
