    • MOT: olfactory neuroepithelium - CSF & tissues
    • Notes: amoeboflagellates; more acute, caused by syphilitis (CNS pathogen)

    • 3. Acanthamoeba culbertsoni & Balamuthia manrillaris: CSF & tissues
    • MOT: lower resp. tract or ulcerated/broken skin
    • Notes: amoeboflagellates; primary CNS pathogen
