  1. How do you calculate rate law, given certian Concentrations and rates?
    1. Use the given concentrations and see what effect the rate has on them, if [A] doubles, and rate doubles, it is a first order. If not, it is either 2nd or third order. So square or cube the initial rate.
  2. How do you calculate k, given concentrations and rates?
    rate=k[A][B]

    Plug in given values for A and B, and be sure to use the rate law that was found. divide rate by A and B.
  3. How do you calculate fraction of remaining reactants, given the rate?
    rate=e^-kT

    make sure to multiply rate by time for first-order reactions.
  4. T/F Activation energies are always smaller for forward than for reverse reactions
    False
