Haldol may cause tardive dyskinesia—a condition characterized by involuntary muscle spasms and twitches in the face and body.
  3. How should Haldol be taken?
Haldol may be taken with food or after eating. You should not take Haldol with coffee, tea, or other caffeinated beverages, or with alcohol.

  5. How should Haldol be stored?
Store away from heat, light, and moisture in a tightly closed container.
  6. What is your current dosage of Haldol?
20mg, 10mg in the am and 10mg at bedtime
  7. What is Abilify (Generic Name: aripiprazole (AR i PIP ra zole)) prescribed for?
It is an antipsychotic medication. It works by changing the actions of chemicals in the brain. It is used to treat the symptoms of psychotic conditions such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder (manic depression). It is also used together with other medications to treat major depressive disorder in adults. Abilify is also used to treat irritability and symptoms of aggression, mood swings, temper tantrums, and self-injury related to autistic disorder in children who are at least 6 years old.
  8. What are some of the side effects of taking Abilify?
Stop using Abilify and call your doctor if you have the following symptoms: fever with stiff muscles and rapid heart rate; uncontrolled muscle movements; symptoms that come on suddenly such as numbness or weakness, severe headache, and problems with vision, speech, or balance.
  9. How should Abilify be taken?
Abilify can be taken with or without food. It is important to take Abilify regularly to get the most benefit.
  10. How should Abilify tablets be stored?
Store Abilify tablets at room temperature away from moisture and heat.
  11. What should you do if you miss a dose of Abilify?
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take the medicine at the next regularly scheduled time. Do not take extra medicine to make up the missed dose.
  12. What things should I avoid while taking Abilify?
Abilify can cause side effects that may impair your thinking or reactions. Be careful if you drive or do anything that requires you to be awake and alert. Avoid getting up too fast from a sitting or lying position, or you may feel dizzy. Get up slowly and steady yourself to prevent a fall. Avoid drinking alcohol, which can increase some of the side effects of Abilify. Avoid becoming overheated or dehydrated. Drink plenty of fluids, especially in hot weather and during exercise. It is easier to become dangerously overheated and dehydrated while you are taking Abilify.
  13. What dosage of Abilify are you currently taking?
20mg, 10mg in the am and 10mg at bedtime
  14. What is Adderall (Generic Name: amphetamine and dextroamphetamine (am FET a meen and DEX troe am FET a meen)) and Adderall XR used for?
It is a central nervous system stimulant. It affects chemicals in the brain and nerves that contribute to hyperactivity and impulse control. Adderall is used to treat narcolepsy and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
  15. How should you take Adderall and Adderall XR?
Take this medication with a full glass of water. Do not crush, chew, break, or open an Adderall extended-release capsule. Swallow the pill whole. It is specially made to release medicine slowly in the body. Breaking or opening the pill would cause too much of the drug to be released at one time. Your doctor may occasionally change your dose to make sure you get the best results from Adderall.
  16. How should you store Adderall and Adderall XR?
Store Adderall at room temperature away from moisture, heat, and light.
  17. What should you do if you miss a dose?
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, or if it is already evening, skip the missed dose and take the medicine the next morning. Taking this medicine late in the day can cause sleep problems. Do not take extra medicine to make up the missed dose.
  18. What should I avoid when taking Adderall and Adderall XR?
Do not take Adderall late in the day. A dose taken too late in the day can cause sleep problems (insomnia). Avoid drinking fruit juices or taking vitamin C at the same time you take Adderall. These can make your body absorb less of the medicine.
  19. What are some side effects of taking Adderall and Adderall XR?
Side effects may include: headache or dizziness; sleep problems (insomnia); dry mouth or an unpleasant taste in your mouth; diarrhea, constipation; loss of appetite, weight loss; light-headedness; or loss of interest in sex, impotence, or difficulty having an orgasm.
