Maximum altitude for unpressurized flight is 14,000 feet.
  6. APU general
APU air switch must be off for all in-flight operations
  7. Auto Throttle
Autothrottle must be disconnected if engine stall (surge) is detected during takeoff.
  8. Minimum altitude for Use of Autopilot,
Enroute Including climb and descent (excluding appr)
    500 feet AFL
  9. Minimum Altitude for Use of Autopilot,
    Approaches
    • Automatic landings..................NONE
    • ILS coupled approaches (other than Auto Land)
    • IFR.......................................70 ft AFL
    • VFR......................................50 fl AFL
    • Non-Precision appr.................50 ft below MDA
  10. Automatic Landings-General (AFM)
Do not conduct an automatic landing if:

    • Align (ALN) mode is not displayed on FMA by 100' radio alt
    • Either engine becomes inop at > 50' above rwy
    • Automatic ground spoilers are not armed and operational
    • Any unusual control position or other abnormal conditions exist in the manual flt cnt sys
    • RUDDER CONTROL MANUAL light illuminated
    • Landing overweight
  11. Starting EGT
    • Ground 5000 Momentary
    • Flight 6250 Momentary
  12. Takeoff EGT
    • Reserve Thrust 625C 5 minutes
    • Red Radial (630) 2 minutes

    • Max Thrust 590C 5 minutes
    • orange radial 2 minutes
  13. Max continuous Climb EGT
    Below amber arc (580C) Continuous
  14. Max Cruise EGT
    540 C Continuous
  15. Minimum Oil Quantity per Engine for Dispatch
    • Flights scheduled for 4hrs or greater - 12 quarts
    • Flight scheduled for < 4 hrs - 4qts + 2 qts/hr
  16. Reverse Thrust
    • Do not operate thrust reversers in flight
    • Do not exceed 1.3 EPR
  17. Starter duty cycle
    • First attempt.....90 sec on, 5 mins off
    • (90 seconds or 3 X 30 seconds)

Subsequent attempts....30 secs on, 5 mins off

Do not use flap settings between 13 and 15 degrees
  19. Ground spoilers
Do not arm spoiler lever prior to gear extension
  20. Speed brakes
    • Use spd brks only in UP/RET or 0/EXT configuration
    • Do not extend or retract gear while speed brakes are deployed
    • Moving Spd Brk/Spoiler Lever beyond EXT position in flight is prohibited. Full aft position for ground use only
  21. Maximum Fuel Imbalance
    • Main Wing Tanks........................1500 lbs
    • Aux Tanks..................400 lbs
  22. Icing conditions On GROUND:
RAT is less than/equal to 6 deg C and visible moisture present, contaminated taxiways, or temp dew point spread is equal to or less than 3 deg C
  23. Icing conditions in flight
RAT is less than or equal to 6 deg C and visible moisture is present
  24. Engine Anti-Ice
For ground, takeoff, and flight operations, engine anti-ice systems must be on when icing conditions exist or are anticipated.
  25. Air foil anti-ice
    • In Flight- airfoil anti-ice should be used when Icing Conditions exist or are anticipated
    • Do not use until reaching 1000' AFL after takeoff
    • Minimum duct pressure for airfoil Anti-ice = 20psi
    • When in icing conditions maintain sufficient thrust to keep associated ICE PROTECT TEMP LOW light extinguished
    • Application of tail De-ice is required:
    • - once every 20 minutes
    • - One minute prior to extending landing flaps
    • - After leaving Icing conditions, prior to turning system off
