It gave the government more power, Hoover played it safe, he didn't really try to solve the problems, he just made living with them easier

The former government, the Weimar Republic, was bad for the people, and they wanted new government that helped them cope with the results of WW1. The economy was failing because of the reparations and the people were upset. The Nazi membership grows because of the hopelessness in Germany. He became chancellor legally in 1933

He organized disoriented veterans of WW1 into the fascist party, he used the black shirts to seize control. King Victor Emmanuel asked him to create a government where he would be prime minister. The government controlled nearly everything.
Explain the rise of Militarism in Japan
Japan was an ally in WW1, but did not get what it was promised. They started to westernize but they were discriminated against because they worked hard for less money. They were angry and attacked Manchuria

They wanted to intervene because they saw that Germany was causing harm to innocent areas.

They invaded and waged war on countries to gain more land for living space. They also acquired land by threats or surrenders.
