  1. Stoichiometry
    The process of using a chemical equation to calculate the relative masses of reactants and products involved in a reaction.
  2. Limiting Reactant
    Limits the amount of products that can be formed in a reaction.
  3. Theoretical Yield
    The amount of product predicted from the amounts of reactants used.
  4. Percent Yield
    • (Actual Yield)
    • Theoretical Yield * 100 = Percent Yield

  5. Stoichiometric Ratio
    A ratio/conversion factor used in stoichiometry.
  6. Wavelength
    The distance between two consecutive wave peaks.

    How many wave peaks pass a certain point per given time period.

    A tiny packet of energy.

    An atom with excess energy.
  10. Ground State
    An atom with the lowest possible energy state.
  11. Ionization Energy
    The energy required to remove an electron from an individual atom in the gas phase.
