  1. Cystic Fibrosis
    disease of the exocrine gland. Lining of the digestive tract, the ducts of the pancreas, and the respiratory tract produce thick mucus which blocks the passageways.
  2. Thalassemia (Cooley's anemia)
    blood disorder found among people of Mediterranean descent. Like anemia; there is also enlargement of the spleen and possible congestive heart disease.
  3. Hemophilia
    sex-linked genetic disorder which means it is only transmitted on the X chromosome. unable to produce the factor VIII; necessary for blood clotting.
  4. Chromosomal Aberrations
    Mutations; chromosomes may adhere to each other and not pull apart at metaphase.
  5. Mutagenic Agents
    Agents that speed up the occurrence of mutations.
