What are the elements of an intentional tort?

Define a Voluntary Act.
An act that is conscious and willing
To establish intent for most intentional torts, the plaintiff must either show:
- That the defendant desired the consequence; or
- That the defendant knew that the consequences were substantially certain to occur
What must the plaintiff prove under the intentional tort causation element?
The plaintiff has to prove a causal connection between the defendant's conduct and the plaintiff's injury.
What are some ways a plaintiff can prove the harm element of an intentional tort?
- Establish element of the tort
- Prove that he/she have a specific injury
