Transient Tachypnea of the Newborn (TTN)
CXR: hazy streaks/finger streaking, Patchy opacities
RR: tachypnic with respiratory distress, ^ fio2 requirement
TX: Vapo (^ liter flow to dec wob)
Typically lasts 3-6 days
Meconium Aspiration
CXR: patchy infiltrates
TX: minimal + pressure @ delivery to avoid pneumo
Note
: PO2 on abg = PPHN
(low regardless of fio2)
Vapo=>Conventional=>Ossilator=>Nitric
Respiratory Distress Syndrome (RDS)
CXR: ground glass appearance
RR: nasal flaring, grunting, retractions, forced exhalation, minimal air movement
Typically requires some sort of + pressure
TX: NC, Vapo
