    • starts abruptly (slavery)
    • created by speakers in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans in the 17th and 18th Century·       
    • make shift language that is used among people who don’t share a same language
    • mostly nouns and verbs

    • the language creates a grammar 
    • usually a broken language
