Involuntary loss of urine associated with movements that put pressure on the bladder (excercise, coughing, sneezing, laughing, lifting heavy objects)
Stress incontinence (most common)
involuntary urine leakage before reaching a toilet; most often found in those with enlarged prostate, diabetes, infection, stroke, dementia, Parkinson's disease, ms, or taking certain drugs.
Involuntary urine leakage from an overdistended bladder; usually from urethral obstruction in older men or uterine prolapse in older women

Sudden onset and temporary incontinence generally caused by treatable factors such as delirium or confusion, infection, metabolic conditions (hyper glycemia) fecal impaction.
