    Sensory: scalp, forehead, nose, upper eyelide, cornea, palate, upper jaw, upper teeth, gums, nasopharynx, nasal cavity, lower eyelid, upper lip

    Motor: mastication muscles, throat, middle ear

    Abducens nerve (M)

    Motor to lateral rectus eye muscle

    Facial nerve (T)

    Sensory: tast anterior 2/3 of tongue, some external ear and palate

    Motor: facial expression, throat, and middle ear

    parasympathetic: submandibular and sublingual salivary glands, lacrimal gland, glands of nasal cavity and palate

    Vestibulocochlear Nerve (S)

    Senory: sense of hearing and balance
  11. IX
    Glossopharyngeal nerve (T)

    Sense of taste from 1/3 posterior of tongue; sensory from pharynx, palatine, tonsisls, middle ear, carotid sinus/body

    Motor to pharyngeal muscle (stylopharyngeus)

    Parasympathetic to parotid salivary gland and glands of posterior 1/3 of tongue

    Sensory from inferior pharynx, larynx, thoracic & abdominal organs; sense of taste from posterior tongue

    Motor to soft palate, pharyns, intrinsic laryngeal muscles, and an extrinsic tongue muscle

    Parasympathetic to thoracic and abdominal viscera
