    Mechanism of Action
    • Prostaglandin inhibition
    • prostaglandins; a group of lipids that act as chemical messengers.

    Indications
    New onset chest pain suggestive of acute myocardial infarction. Signs and symptoms suggestive of recent cerebrovascular accident.

    Contraindications
    Hypersensitivity. Relatively contraindicated in patients with active ulcer disease or asthma.

    Adverse reactions
    Heartburn, GI Bleeding, prolonged bleeding, nausea and vomitting. Wheezing in allergic reactions.

    160mg to 325mg PO (chewed if possible)

    • Pregnancy safety: category D
    • Not recommended in pediatric pts.
