Function to bind structures together and to provide support. Associated with the epithelium.
Loose (Areolar) Connective Tissue
Functions in a support role. Binds muscle and bone together. Also hold joints together.
Dense Fibrous Connective Tissue
Functions to store fat and provide insulation
Functions to support and protect. Found in a small chamber called Lacunae.
Found in the nose, end of bones, and fetal skeletons
Found in the outer ear
Found in vertebral disks and some joints. Functions to absorb shock and contains strong collagen fibers.
