  55. When must wing anti-ice be used (selected on) for ground ops.
    • Icing cond. on ground & OAT is 5c or less and visible moisture in any form below 400 agl. Runway wet or contaminated. Or any precip.
    • If wing ice on for T.O. then cowl ice must be on also.
    •  Must be on during final taxi before T.O. if OAT less then /equal 5c. unless type II, III, IV fluids used.
    •  Must be turned on after both engines running & no later then the BTO check.
    • 1. During taxi L/R wing A/ice caution may be posted but must be out & wing A/ice on posted prior to T.O.. If not required for T.O. turn off
    • 2. After type II, III, IV fluids wing A/ice only on just prior to T.O. only if needed.
    •   Can't use indicated SAT or TAT on ground.
  56. When must wing A/ice system be on airborne
    • When TAT 10c or less in visible moisture below speed of 230 K. or if ICE is annunciation by the detection system.
    • Warning: delaying wing anti-ice can change stall speed, margin characteristics
  57. When must cowl A/ice be on in the air
    In visible moisture at TAT of 10 c or less except when SAT is -40c or below in icing cond. And/or enunciated by ice detection system
