  4. MEMBRANE- controls what enters and leaves the cell
CYTOPLASM- Living contents of the cell where all reactions occur
NUCLEUS- control centre for the cell. The chromosomes are held here.
CHROMOSOMES- Long string of instructions called genes.
GENES- A part of a chromosome which has the blue print for a body feature.
  5. CELL WALL- gives support to the cell
VACUOLE- stores sap (which is mainly water)
CHLOROPLAST- contain a green pigment called chlorophyll which is needed to trap light energy from the sun.
  6. Animal cells are smaller than plant cells.

Plant cells always have a cell wall, animal cells never do.

Plant cells have a large central vacuole, animal cells never do.

Plant cells may have chloroplasts which hold chlorophyll to trap sunlight for photosynthesis, animal cells never do.
