    Procainamide(pronestyl)
    Disopyramine(Norspace)
    SE: Hypotension, HF
    Monitor BP, for widening PR, QRS, QT intervals

    Lidocaine, Mexiletine, tocainide
    SE: slurred speech, confusion, drowsiness, confusion, seizures, hypotension and bradycardia

    Monitor apical HR, heart rhythm, bp, SOB/wheezing, fatigue, sleep disturbances, 

    Assess apical HR 1minute before administration
  5. Class III
    Amiodarone, Ibuflide fumarate, dofetilid,
    SE: Hypotension, Bradycardia, atrioventricular block, muscle weakness, tremors, photosensitivity and photophobia, liver toxicity
    • Continuous monitoring of cardiac rhythm during IV admin
    • Monitor QT interval during IV admin, monitor HR BP
    • Client should wear sunglasses and suncreen
  6. Class IV Drugs
    Verapamil(Calan), Diltizaem(Cardizem)
    SE:Bradycardia, Hypotension, Dizziness, Ortho Hypo, HF
    • Monitor apical HR, BP
    • Instruct about ortho hypo, 
    • report signs of HF to provider
