    • 1 mg in 1ml (1:1000)
    • 1 mg in 10ml  (1:10,000)
  2. Adrenaline -
    Pharmacology
    • A naturally occurring Alpha and beta adrenergic stimulant
    • Actions:
    •   - Increases pulse rate by increasing the rate of 
    •      sinus node firing (Beta 1)
    •   - Increases conduction velocity through 
    •      the AV node (Beta 1)
    •   - Increases myocardial contractility (Beta 1)
    •   - Increases irritability of the ventricles
    •   - Causes bronchodilatation (Beta 2)
    •   - Causes peripheral vasoconstriction (Alpha)
  3. Adrenaline - Metabolism
    • 1. Persistent VF or unconscious pulseless VT
    • 2. Asystole
    • 3. EMD / PEA
    • 4. Inadequate perfusion (cardiogenic)
    • 5. Inadequate perfusion ( non-cardiac - non- hypovolaemic )
    • 6. Anaphylactic reactions
    • 7. Severe asthma
    • 8. Unconscious asthma with no recordable blood pressure
    • 9. Croup or suspected croup
    • 10. Bradycardia with poor perfusion
