When should u recal a CMTD?
Every month, when strain axle has been replaced, change of cable type, CMTD measuring rollers are replaced, DTI2 card replaced
What goes on cable card
Wrap test, wrap test score, the head (serial number, weakpt, date built) cable serial number, CMTD and IDW cal date and serial numbers, Drum serial number and collector serial number and date collectro was built and splice pts

2 layers + 2 wraps
What is the best way to estimate the amt of cable on the drum?
Cable length advisor in tension module in tool planner
How many splices can one cable have
no more than 1 is recommended, however, 3 have been know to be on one cable before
Can a new cable be ran without a swivel?
This is not recommended as the new cable has a significant amount of permanent stretch that has yet to be taken out
What should you do while RIH/POOH with a spliced cable?
- Set the alarms if you need to for nearing the splice.
- Slow down the winch and check the integrity of the cable i.e armor coming apart, shims showing, etc
Slow the winch to <6000'/hr when splice is going over sheave wheels
Mark it on Zchart

What is repeatability of density?
What about mastercal for neutron...what does it simulate?
18% porosity @75 deg F - The poro comes form the space bw the housing and the tank
Why do we measure wear of neutron housing?
So it doesnt effect the 18% poro and so that if it gets below 3.27, we know to change it so it doesnt implode due to reduction in press rating

Supposed to be Exxon Univis J26
Why does a special 369 need to be used for HRLA/CMR?
Line 9 and 10 are shorted in 369 so line 9 can act as ref voltage
