    • 1. makes a contract with the person commissioning the piece of art work

    • 3.paints the panel with a finely ground gesso while gesso is wet a layer of cloth is laid on the panel than another layer of gesso is put on a student dose these steps. than an artist with charcoal draws the picture on the gesso. Than a craftsman would come in and add a gold layer things like halos this is called (gold leaf) after this a student paints the non major characters and the artist paints the main characters.
