Acute triangle
has three acute angles

Angle
If formed by two rays with a common endpoint called a vertex

Central angle
has its vertex at the center of a circle

Circle
The set of points in a plane that are all the same distance from a given point called the center

Chord
A segment that has both endpoints on a circle

Complementary angles
Twoangles whose sum of their angle measures equals 90 degrees

Congruent
Having the same shape and same size

Decagon
A polygon with 10 sides

Hexagon
A polygon with 6 sides

Isosceles triangle
A polygon that has 2 congruent sides and 2 congruent angles

Line
A series of points that extends in two opposite directions without end

Intersecting lines
Lie in the same plane and have exactly on point in common

Line segment
Formed by 2 endpoints and all the points between them

Obtuse angle
Has a measure greater than 90 degrees and less than 180 degrees

Obtuse triangle
A triangle that has one angle measure that is greater than 90 degrees

Octagon
A polygon that has 8 sides

Parallelogram
A quadrilateral that has two pairs of parallel line

Parallel lines
Two lines that are in the same plane, equal distance apart and never touch

Plane
A flat surface with no thickness that extends without end in all directions on the surface

Pentagon
A polygon that has 5 sides

Perpendicular lines
A pair of intersecting lines that for right angles

Point
A location in space that has no size

Radius
A segment that connects the center to the circle

Ray

a parallelogram with four congruent sides

scalene triangle
has no congruent sides

semicircle
half of a circle

square
a parallelogram with four right angles and four congruent sides

supplementary angles
two angles whose measures add up to 180 degrees

straight angle
an angle with a measure of exactly 180 degrees

trapezoid
a quadrilateral that has one pair of parallel lines
