Middle number in a data set. (make sure you put them in order from least to greatest)
Median

Number that occurs the most in the set
Mode

Average of all numbers in the set
Mean

Number that is too high or low for the data set. This number affects the mean the most.
Outlier

Highest minus the lowest numbers in the set.
Range

Distribute the number outside the parenthesis to the numbers on the inside. 5(6 +7) = 5 x 6 + 5 x 7
Distributive Property

The true value of a number. The distance it is from 0.
Absolute value

Flipping the fractions denominator and numerator.
reciprocal

Numbers consisting of the negatives, zero, and positives.
Integer

The two numbers that are the same distance from zero but on opposite sides of the number line.
Opposite number

A comparison of two numbers using division. (5 to 3, 5:3, 5/3)
Ratio

An expression that consists of numbers variables, and operations. Same as algebraic expression.
Variable expression

A symbol, usually a letter, which is used to represent one or more numbers.
Variable

An expression of numbers and operations  no letters.
Numerical expression

Expression that uses numbers, symbols, and variables. 4x + 3 = 12
Algebraic expressin

An equation stating that two ratios are equivalent.
Proportion

A Probability based on a sample or repeated trials of an experiment.
Experimental Probability

A rate that has a denominator of 1 unit.
Unit rate

A number from 0 to 1 that measures the likelihood that that event will occur.
Probavility

A ratio of two quantities measured in different units.
Rate
