    inherited genetic abnormality that affects the synthesis of the globin chains in hemoglobin.

    most common type of lymphoma.
  27. non-Hodgkin's lymphoma
    a group of more than 20 different types of lymphomas that occur in older adults and do not show Reed-Sternberg cells
  28. thymoma
    tumor of the thymus that is usually benign.
