  1. avulsion
    condition in which the muscle tears away from the tendon or the tendon tears away from the bone.
  2. contracture
    inactivity or paralysis coupled with continuing nerve impulses can cause an arm or leg muscle to become progressively flexed and drawn into a position where it becomes nearly immovable.
  3. Dupuytren's contracture
    progressive disease in which the fascia in the palm of the hand becomes thickened and shortened, causing a contracture and flexion deformity of the fingers
