The suffering you sent was good for me, for it taught me to pay attention to your principles.
We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they are good for us-they help us to learn endurance. And endurance develops strength of character in us and character strengthens our confident expectation of salvation.
Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory He will give us later
I Peter 2:21-23
This suffering is all part of what God has called you to. Christ, who suffered for you, is your example. Follow in His steps. He never sinned and He never deceived anyone. He did not retaliate when He was insulted. When He suffered He did not threaten to get even. He left His case in the hands of God, who always judges fairly.
I Peter 5:10-11
In His Kindness, God called you to His eternal glory by means of Jesus Christ. After you have suffered a little while, He will restore, support and strengthen you and He will place you on a firm foundation. All power is His forever and ever Amen.
