    Blocks dopamine receptors in brain which are responsible for mood and behavior.  Antiemetic properties.  Weak anticholinergic (parasympathetic antagonist) properties.

    • Orthostatic hypotension
    • Physical and mental impairment
    • Parkinson-like reactions known to occur, esp. in children
    • Caution if Pt on anticoagulants or Lithium
    • Prolonged QT/QTc
    • Torsade de pointes in higher doses
    • Benadryl s/be available
