Droplets >5microns, involves contact of conjunctiva or mucous membranes of nose or mouth, happens during coughing, sneezing, talking or during procedures such as suctioning or bronchoscopy.
Must wear mask if closer than 3 feet to patient. Door may remain open.
MRSA, Vanco-resistan organisms, Herpes Simplex, Herpes Zoster, Hep A, C. Diff, RSV, Scabies
Wear gloves and gown when in contact with patient.
