       Administration
    • 1-2mg slow IV/IO over 2-3 mins
    • (Titrate to suppress seizure activity or until sedation occurs)
    • May rpt. in 1mg increments to max of 8mg

         Pediatric
    • Under 12 yrs:       
    •      0.05mg/kg slow IV/IO over 2-3 mins
    •      (Titrate to suppress seizure activity or
    •      until sedation occurs)       
    •      Rpt in 0.05mg increments to max
    •      dose of 0.2mg/kg     
    • Over 12 years:       
    •      Adult dosage

         Precautions
    • Use cautiously in patients with impaired
    •   respiratory function, COPD, renal failure, or
    •   liver disease.
    • Monitor pt. respiratory status and be prepared
    •   to provide support
