    • These drugs bind to the IIb/IIIa receptor complex on the platelet
    • This prevents binding of endogenous ligands including fibrinogen and vWF
    • Resulting in inhibition of platelet aggregation
  3. indications:
    • Coronary angioplasty
    • High-risk patients with acute MI
  4. SE:
    • Bleeding
    • Thrombocytopenia (Most serious complication)
