    • 1. Status Epilepticus: 5-10mg IV
    • 2. Acute Anxiety and cocaine overdose: 2-5mg IV
    • 3. Premed for cardioversions: 5-15mg IV
  8. Diazepam (Valium) Route:
    • IV no faster than 1mg / min, IM, rectal, ET
    • (note: Diazepam does not uptake well with IM administration. If no IV is available consider rectal administration or IM Midazolam)
  9. Diazepam (Valium) How Supplied
    ampule and prefilled syringe: 10mg/2mL
  10. Diazepam (Valium) Pediatric Dosage:
    Status epilepticus: .2-.5 mg / kg dose
