    "6, 12, and 12." 6 mg given via rapid IV push over 1-2 seconds followed by a rapid 20 mL saline bolus; if after 1-2 minutes no response, administer 12 mg via rapid IV push over 1-2 seconds followed by a rapid 20 mL saline bolus; if after 1-2 minutes no response, administer 12 mg via rapid IV push over 1-2 seconds followed by a rapid 20 mL saline bolus for a total dosage of 30mg. MAXIMUM: 30 mg.
  10. Adenosine - Route:
    • RIVP (Rapid IV Push)
    • Administration should be through the shortest possible route (i.e. through a saline lock) at the most proximal site reasonably possible (i.e. at the antecubital site)
  11. Adenosine - How supplied:
    6 mg / 2 mL vials and prefilled syringes
  12. Adenosine - Pediatric dosage:
    • Weight less than 50 kg
    • 1st dose: 0.05 - 0.10 mg / kg to max of 12 mg
    • 2nd and subsequent doses: 0.10 - 0.15 mg / kg
    • MAXIMUM: 0.3 mg / kg
