How many objects are in a mole?
Describe the differences between:
- Molecular formula: shows the ACTUAL number of atoms in the molecule=H2O2
- Empirical formula: Shows the lowest whole number of atoms in a compound (not the actual number in the molecule)=HO
- Structural formula: shows the relative placement of atoms in a molecule H-O-O-H
What is an Isomer?
A compound with the same molecular formula, but different structural formula.
