  1. How do you create a diploid through meiosis?
    • The combination of Haploids ie, Sperm and Egg.
    • When these haploid cells come together they form a Diploid zygote.
  2. What are Haploids also called?
    • Sex cells or Gametes. 
    • example: Sperm or egg.
  3. When Gametes fuse to form a diploid zygote it can involve either:
    • Fusion of nuclear material only=Conjugation
    • Fusion of whole cells=Syngamy

  5. What are Autosomes?
    Out of 23 pairs of Chromosomes, 22 pairs are found in both males and females. The remaining pair are the sex chromosomes, which are not identical (homologous).
