    The Equator is an imaginary line that circles the Earth halfway between the North Pole to the South Pole. It divides the Earth into the Northern and Southern hemispheres.
  14. What is a hemisphere?


    A hemisphere in one half of the Earth.

    • "Hemi" means half.
    • "Sphere" means ball globe.
  15. What is a grid map?


    A grid map is a map that uses letters and numbers in boxes to describe the location of objects.
