    A woman who agrees to bear a child for another couple. The husband's sperm is implanted into this woman's uterus.
  21. Therapeutic sterilization-
    Sterilization undertaken to save the mother's life or protect her health.
  22. Unborn Victims of Violence Act-
    Law that provides legal penalties for any harm done to an unborn child at federal facilities or in crimes that cross state lines.
  23. Viable-
    In terms of a fetus or infant: an infant’s ability to survive outside of the uterus.
