  1. What is the leading strand?
The DNA  stands is elongating continuously toward the replication fork

  2. what is nucleotide excision repair?
when dna is damaged, a nuclease cuts out the damaged strand and a dna polymerase fills in the missing nucleotides and DNA ligase seals the new and old nucleotides
  3. what are telomeres?
special nucleotide sequences at the end of DNA that do not code for any genes and buffer nucleotides that do contain genes from erosion
