Arp 2/3 complex
Arp2/3 complex is a seven-subunit protein that plays a major role in the regulation of the actin cytoskeleton.
Two of its subunits, the Actin-Related Proteins ARP2 and ARP3 closely resemble the structure of monomeric actin and serve as nucleation sites for new actin filaments.
Branched actin networks are created as a result of this nucleation of new filaments. The regulation of rearrangements of the actin cytoskeleton is important for processes like cell locomotion, phagocytosis, and intracellular motility of lipid vesicles.
An abundant structural protein in eukaryotic cells that interacts with many other proteins. The monomeric globular form (G- actin) polymerizes to form actin filaments (f-actin). In the muscle cells, f-actin interacts with myosin during contraction.
a protein that caps the barbed (plus) end of actin filaments in muscle cells. It is located in the Z band of the muscle sarcomere.

This protein could regulate actin polymerization through its direct binding to Neural Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome protein (N-WASP), which subsequently activates Arp2/3 complex.
