  1. Naloxone doses
    • Adult: 1.6-2mg initial dose, repeat 0.8mg @ 10/60 if required
    • Child:10mcg/kg (max. 2 mg) IM, repeat @ 10/60 if required
  2. Midazolam doses
    • Age < 60= 0.1mg/kg
    • Age > 60= 0.05mg/kg
    • Max. single dose 10mg
    • Child: 0.1mg/kg
  3. Morphine dose
    • IV: 2.5-5mg, repeat up to 5mg @ 5/60 (max. 20mg)
    • IM: >60kg- 10mg, repeat 5mg @ 15/60 (once only) if required. <60kg- 0.1mg/kg, single dose only
  4. Methoxyflurane doses
    3ml in inhaler, repeat 3ml if required, max. 6ml
  5. Fentanyl doses
    • IN: All doses include 0.1ml to account for atomiser dead space
    • Age<60 & Wt >60kg- 200mcg= 0.75ml, repeat 50mcg= 0.25ml @ 5/60 (max. 400mcg)
    • Age>60 &/or Wt <60kg- 100mcg= 0.45ml, repeat 50mcg= 0.25ml @ 5/60 (max. 200mcg)
  6. Dextrose doses
    15g (150ml) IV, 10ml NS flush, repeat 10g (100ml) @ 3/60 if Pt GCS <15
  7. Glucagon dose
    1mg (1ml) IM
  8. Salbutamol doses
    • pMDI- 4 puffs @ 4/60 until resolved
    • Nebulised- 10mg (5ml), repeat 5mg (2.5ml) @ 5/60 if required
    • Severe asthma- as above, combine with atrovent, COPD- 10mg, combine with atrovent
  9. Ipratroprium bromide doses
    500mcg (2ml) nebulised. With salbutamol
  10. GTN doses
    • Nil. previous admin- 300mcg S/L/buccal
    • Or, previous admin- 600mcg
    • AD- Above dose if BP>160, repeat @ 10/60 if required
    • Acute coronary syndrome- above dose if BP>110, repeat @ 5/60. If BP above >90 GTN patch, 50mg(0.4mg/hr), if BP falls <90 remove patch
  11. Adrenaline doses
    • Asthma-
    • 300mcgIM, repeat 300mcg @ 20/60 PRN (max.900mcg IM). Anaphylaxis- 300mcg IM,
    • repeat 300mcg IM @ 5/60 PRN. Inadequate perfusion &/or Bradycardia-MICA-
    • adrenaline infusion , 50mcg/min- 3mg added to 50ml NS or D5W, 1ml/hr =
    • mcg/min. Hypothermia <30oC
    • > cardiac arrest> 1 dose. Cardiac arrest- 1mg IV, repeat @ 3/60 if no

    • Antiplatelet
    • treatment- 300mg oral
