  1. Cell
    Basic unit of all living things. The human body is composed of trillions of cells, which vary in size and shape according to function
  2. Cell Membrane
    Forms the boundary of the cell
  3. Cytoplasm
    Gel Like fluid inside the cell.
  4. Nucleus
    Largest structure within the cell, usually spherical and centrally located. It contains chromosomes for cellular reproduction and is the control center of the cell.
  5. Chromosomes
    Located in the nucleous of the cell. There are 46 chromosomes in all normal human cells, with the exception of mature cell sex cells, witch only have 23.

    Regions with in the chromosomes

    Comprises each gene
  8. Tissues
    Group of similar cells to perform a specific function
  9. Muscle Tissue
    Composed of cells that have a special ability to contract, usually producing movement.
  10. Nervious Tissue
    Found in the nerves, spinal cord, and brain.
  11. Connective Tissue
    Connects, supports, and penetrates, and encases various body structures.
  12. Epithelial Tissue
    Major covering of the body's external surface
  13. Organ
    Two or more kinds of tissues working together to perform a function.
  14. System
    Group of Organs working together to perform complex body functions.
  15. Integumentary System
    Composed of skin, nails, and glands.
  16. Respiratory System
    Composed of the nose, pharynx, larynx, trachea, bronchial tubes, and lungs.
  17. Urinary System
    Composed of kidneys, ureters, bladder and urethra.
  18. Reproductive System
    Female reproductive system is composed of overaries, uterine tube, uterus, vagina, and mammery glands.
  19. Cardiovascular System
    Composed of heart and blood vessels.
  20. Lymphatic System
    Composed of vessels, ducts, nodes, and organs.
  21. Digestive System
    Composed of gastrointestinal tract which includes esophagus, stomach, L and S intestines plus accessory organs.

    Muscles, bones, and joints.
  23. Nervious System
    Composed of brain, spinal cord, and nerves.

    Composed of glands that secrete hormones.
