    (long answer)
    The first humans were nomads which means they had no permanent lodging. They followed the food source. They got their food by hunting and gathering. Trial and error 1) – a life of experimentation – very dangerous. A life of discovery. People now can go to a store and find food. A lot less calories are exerted to get fed. Life is much more sedentary now with advancements in trade and technology.
